Decorative Candles

Decorative candles are types of candles formed from wax and moulded with varying designs. The designs of decorative candles vary and may include laces, flowers, figures, and patterns. Decorative candles, however, may also be simple and sized as thin as pencils or as thick as small tree trunks.

How do decorative candles work?

The most common type of wax is paraffin, and it is what many modern decorative candles are made of. Paraffin, in a liquid form, is poured into candle moulds and is sometimes mixed with dye or colouring agent. The paraffin is made to cool so that when it hardens, the moulds may be removed. The hardened paraffin, as decorative candles, may be lighted on wicks to give light in a room.

What types of decorative candles are there?

Decorative candles come in forms of baptism candles, Christmas candles, Hanukkah candles, birthday candles, and religious ceremony candles. Other types include table-top candles, chandelier candles, and pool-decor candles.

What can decorative candles be used for?

Decorative candles may be used for lighting up houses when the electricity is out, decorating table-tops and buffet settings, and lighting up chandeliers. Illuminating gardens and pools as well as decorating altars, restaurants, and theater stages are among their common functions.

What is the history of decorative candles?

Ever since men and women of different cultures learned how to make candles, these have served the purpose of lighting up dark places and moonless nights. According to their cultures and traditions, people use candles for occasions like religious ceremonies, celebrations, and everyday living. Candles were also made using wax from bees, insects, whale fat, boiling cinnamon, and candlefish.
